While there are no prerequisites for completion of this unit, the QBCC has additional trade and experience requirements for attaining the Trade Contractors licence for your trade, so please visit the QBCC website: http://www.qbcc.qld.gov.au to check on all requirements before enrolling. It is also advisable that you have completed Year 12 English and Maths before commencing this study.
We currently offer this unit of competency as a paper based, self-paced assessment with a maximum duration of 3 months, or classroom based training with a minimum down time of 2 days. This unit is also offered via the RPL process. Please note classroom training is subject to availability. We do not offer this unit online at this time.
Once you have decided to go ahead with the unit, return your completed enrolment form and ensure the payment has been made. (Please see the payment form for details).
When this is received at our office (email/fax/post), Building Industry Training will provide you with the necessary documents/learning resources/assessments and the details of your trainer so you can begin your studies.
The standalone unit:
BSBESB402 – Establish legal and risk management requirements of new business ventures
comes from CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction. The unit addresses the skills and knowledge required to identify and comply with all regulations affecting the business, and applies to individuals operating a small business. If you decide to continue on and enrol in the full Certificate IV in Building & Construction qualification, this unit can be credited towards its completion, or other qualifications at the Certificate IV level.
