Michaels boundless enthusiasm drives the training team to achieve the high standards of training and support that is necessary in the fast-paced training and building industry. He has over 23 years experience, commencing as an apprentice carpenter in Toowoomba. A highly skilled tradesman, Michael has qualifications ranging from carpentry, concreting, waterproofing, plastering, tiling, and management, along with training, design and development.
Colin
Head of Painting & Decorating
Colin has over 40 years in the building trade, and an attention to detail that only a true “artist” possesses. He originally hailed from NZ where he owned and operated a Painting & Decorating business. Colin has a vast knowledge of the industry, untold patience and a passion for training the next crop of Painting & Decorating tradesmen. His qualifications and expertise are extensive, including Trade, Training and WHS certificates.
Mark
Head of Carpentry
Mark is a true professional and takes pride in the high standard that he requires of his students. He has over 40 years in the building industry, starting out as a bricklaying apprentice, then completing a second trade in carpentry and finally adding a draftsman qualification. Mark also holds qualifications in management and training.
Tim M
Special Projects / Solid Plastering
Tims youthful appearance is deceptive, as he is truly a dedicated tradesman and trainer with over 10 years of experience in the building industry. He shares his passion for gaining skills and personal advancement by heading up the team delivering building training to disadvantaged youth (Special Projects Division). A painter & decorator, turned solid plasterer, Tim demonstrates his versatility and broad knowledge while relating to the younger developing tradesmen.
Tim B
Head of Bricklaying / Concreting
Tims’ career in the building industry started over 40 years ago when he worked as a leading hand on domestic and commercial sites on the central coast of NSW. When he is not training, you will find him operating and managing his bricklaying and concreting business on the Gold Coast/northern NSW region. With his extensive knowledge and experience, Tim is always ready to assist students to ensure they get the best out of themselves and reach their personal goal as a competent tradesman. He holds qualifications in bricklaying, concreting and steel fixing, along with training and WHS.
